Toi was born in Michigan, raised in Louisiana, finished high school in Maryland and went on to college in Illinois where she graduated with a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Anthropology.

Her mother’s nickname is “pioneer woman” and Toi has happily commandeered that title. Her travels have taken her all over the U.S. In 2003, Toi made her way to the west coast in a U-haul with her cat on the dashboard and a giant bag of Twizzlers at her side. It was not long before her journey led her to All Saints. Since coming to All Saints in 2004, Toi has been heavily involved in the lives of the youth as a volunteer. She joined the part-time staff in July of 2008 as the Director of Youth Small Groups and now serves as one of the Interim Youth Ministers.

Toi is a staunch advocate for the youth and believes so profoundly in the potential for young people to use their faith to make change in the world.
