Vocational Discernment: A Call from God, Self-Understanding of That Call, and Affirmation from the Church
with Abel Lopez
The Book of Common Prayer teaches that there are four orders of ministry: “The ministers of the Church are laypersons, bishops, priests and deacons.” All baptized Christians as members of the Body of Christ have a ministry. Some exercise this ministry primarily in the world, representing Christ by their life and labor. Others serve Christ primarily in the Church. The community of faith has the important role of discerning a person’s vocational identity, whether as priest or layperson. Join us to learn about All Saints’ discernment process and your role in it. Guild Room.

Being The Light!
Whether you have kids or simply feel youthful, all are welcome. For more information, contact Isabel Leus at ileus@allsaints-pas.org at 626.583.2733.
This service is for anyone who wishes to worship in a more casual environment, in a space where kids are a part of the entire service, and in a more interactive, participatory, and multigenerational atmosphere. The 45-minute service is a regular Eucharist that is a moving, spiritual experience for everyone. It is highly participatory, involving children, youth, and adults in all parts of the service including ushering, readings, acolytes, etc. Our hope is that the space and the style are accessible to each person that comes and invites everyone to feel God’s unconditional love and presence. All are invited to attend and we encourage you to invite your friends, family and neighbors to come as well. For more information, please contact Isabel Leus at 626.583.2733 or ileus@allsaints-pas.org.
