The Strategic Plan

Welcome to the Strategic Implementation home page! Our goal is to keep you informed about progress in refining and implementing our strategic plan through the information posted here.

Because this is an evolving process, the exact content and organization of documents on this page is also evolving.  As a first step we are posting raw data that was gathered in our parish-wide and subsequent meetings.

We are so grateful to all who took the time to attend the parish-wide meetings and provide their input to this process!

Exhibit A is the raw data from the parish-wide meetings. Each meeting, Community, Spirituality, Infrastructure and Peace and Justice, was slightly different; so, the outcomes are not all in the same format. In general, each team brain stormed about certain assigned topics. Then each of the team identified topics, goals or issues that they felt were the most pressing. The groups then further prioritized those areas that they felt were the most important.

Exhibit B is the raw data from the Vestry-Staff Conference. At the conference the vestry and staff were divided into four groups to match the groups at the parish-wide meetings.  Each group was given the data from the parish-wide meetings and asked to develop three goals based on those data.

You will notice the addition of a fifth subject area, Children, Youth and Families. It was discovered at the parish-wide meetings that the original container for CYF, Spirituality (which includes Formation), did not really adequately serve a ministry that must be so integrated into every part of our parish life. To that end, the CYF goal was developed separately.

Exhibit C is a series of “quick implementations.”  The vestry and staff also developed action items that could be expeditiously implemented by staff and would have an immediate positive effect on our parish. We hope that as you peruse this list you notice some of the changes that have already been made. Items have been grouped according to the staff member responsible for its implementation, those are marked on the document in red. If an item is highlighted in red it is completed!

One final note, those of you who participated in the Peace and Justice meeting may wonder what happened to the data in the white basket. Please be assured that the information was shared with staff and appropriate vestry members and was carefully considered when developing the Peace and Justice goals. However, given the sensitive nature of the information, it seems best not to include it in our public documents.

We hope that you will enjoy reading this and we look forward to hearing from you with questions, thoughts and comments.

Best Regards,

Gloria Pitzer
